The 23rd session of the IFRC General Assembly is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 19 to 21 June 2022.

During the extraordinary meeting of the IFRC Governing Board, which was attended by 20 National Societies, including the Iranian Red Crescent, the committees of Governing board delivered their reports.

Furthermore, Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, suggested changing the proposed resolution in the Representatives Council, which was approved by the members.

According to the IRCS president, all members of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement particularly International Committee of the Red Cross to use their potential to support the National Societies involved with relief services to refugees.  

This meeting was the last meeting of the presence of the Iranian Red Crescent Society in the IFRC Governing Board. The members of the new Governing Board will be elected at a forthcoming meeting.
